The European Social Economy Regions (ESER) initiative has been launched in 2018 in order to raise awareness on social economy at regional and local level and build local networks of social economy stakeholders.
Between 2018-2020 more than 90 regions, municipalities and cities from all over Europe have joined the initiative and contributed to many new initiatives, projects and actions launched at EU level. ESER is a model example of co-creation and co-construction of EU policies in the field of social economy and inter-active dialogue between ESER Members has resulted in many new regional and inter-regional partnerships.
The ESER 2021 Call is targeting Pact4Skills and New European Bauhaus thematic strands. In terms of newcomers, ESER 2021 is focused on the Covenant of Mayors and The Intelligent Cities Challenge Members since all these communities are impact-driven and their objective is to contribute to green, social and digital transition at regional and local level in a sustainable way.
